There will be a photography competition held over the weekend of the festival and will be open to anyone of any age. Someone who thinks they might have caught the essesence or spirit of the festival can post their shot on a gallery page on the website where it will be voted on by fellow enthusiasts, the top shots to feature in an exhibition later in the year where again pics will be nominated for the festival calendar to be launched early in the new year.
Oranmore Castle will play an integral part of the festival as the idylic setting for the trade and art fair. With Leonie and Alec Finns kind co-operation to local artists will have a platform to exhibit and ply their trade, with exhibitions, stalls and workshops to be incorprarted into the programme of festival events. There are even rumours of some late night sessions to be held in the main hall of the castle.

Amphibian King / Fit Squad 5k Run

Water based activities in conjunction with the Galway Bay Sailing Club will take place on Sunday the 28th as part our Family Fun Day at Renville Park
There will be a number of heritage related events happening over the festical including;
Shorewalk – a walk on the ancient right of way along the shore
Medieval Graveyard – guided tour of Oranmore's medieval past
Castle Tour – Daily tours of Oranmores iconic castle.
Family Fun Day
The Beautiful Renville Park will play host to our Family Fun Day on Sunday 28th of August.
It will be a day to remember and an event which will bring the First Oranmore Celtic Shore Fest to a close.
Family fun day @ Renville Park with: Bouncing castles, face painting, Zorbing, Balloon medelling, Helicopter Rides, Bonny baby show, treasure hunts, barbeque and lots more... (some activities may incur a small charge)
In addition to all these activities we will be bringing the stage down from our concert venue and setting it up at Renville for local groups to preform on and to entertain the crowds.
